We will await you at Turin airport and accompany you to your hotel in Benevello. In the afternoon we will present you our Alfa Romeos and introduce you to our easy-to-follow road book. During this afternoon, a famous Barolo winery will open its gates to us. Small, winding roads on your way back to Benevello will give you an understanding about how the roads will look like during the next days: panoramic slopes atop of hills with an endless panoramic view and hardly any traffic. The hotel itselfs offers you the choice between bistrot-style casual and fine dining.
After breakfast, we will start the engines and cruise to the Northeast, changing wood and hill stretches with country roads leading through vineyards and small villages. During the morning, we will visit an Amaretto production. In nearby Canelli we will take you through the vaulted cellar of local sparkling vinery Contratto, a former supplier to the British and Italian Royal Family. The entire afternoon route seems like taken from a picture book, this is the Langhe heartland. The evening is at leisure.
Today, your itinerary heads south and west along beautiful country roads always within the Natural Reserve ‘Sorgenti del Belbo’ to Vicoforte. The small village is dominated by an oversized church, with the largest elliptical dome in the world. Here lie the remains of the last Italian King Vittorio Emanuele of Savoy and his wife Elena. The return journey via Murazzano is as spectacular as the outward journey. In the evening we take you to a nearby winery for a wine tasting and a farewell dinner.
Today it is the turn of Alba, the centre of hazelnut processing and probably the most expensive truffle in the world. Dating back to 6,000 BC, Alba is home to one of the largest confectionery empires in the world, Ferrero. It all began in 1946 with a small pastry shop in the town centre, where the ‘gianduja’ dessert was made from hazelnuts and cocoa. Later, it developed to Nutella, basically a gianduia form that can be spread. The ancient pastry shop has grown into the worlds’ third largest candy company, counting many more employees than its home town does count inhabitants. Alba is also known for the particularly valuable Alba truffles, which can be bought all year round in the city’s speciality shops. You will be returning to your hotel in the afternoon, bid farewell to the Alfa Romeos, and after that we will accompany to Turin airport.

Piedmont
One of the largest regions in Italy in terms of area and lies in the far west on the border with France. It is one of the most varied regions and includes the highest alpine peaks in Italy, the Mont Blanc area, as well as the Mediterranean region around Lake Maggiore or the Langhe, land of 1000 hills. Turin is the capital of Piedmont and former seat of government of the Italian royal family. Turin is relatively unknown, but offers an incredible number of sights and is worth a stay of several days. One Extension of the Nostalgic Oldtimer Tour, the city tour in Turin is highly recommended: Art Museum, Royal Palace, Egyptian Museum, Shroud, Mola Antonelliana, Cathedral, Juventus Stadium and much more.
Far better known is the area southeast of Turin the Langhe. Especially gourmets and wine lovers come here from all over the world to enjoy the specialties from the region. Wine is grown here, the best and most expensive in Italy. The delicate Nebbiolo grape becomes Barolo, Barbaresco, Dolcetto, Nebbiolo produced. The White Alba truffle regularly achieves record prices and attracts fans from all over the world to Alba in autumn. Hazelnut plantations stretch over many kilometers and provide the "brown gold". Hazelnuts are the main raw material around Gianduja, nougat and Nutella to produce. "Ferrero", the third largest confectionery manufacturer in the world (Nutella, Kinder, Ferrero Rocher, Mon Cheri and many more), has its cradle in Alba and produces confectionery made from hazelnuts in its homeland. The almond biscuits "Amaretti" come from the Langhe as well as the well-known vermouth manufacturers "Martini" and "Cinzano".
The landscape of the hilly landscape of the Langhe is reminiscent of Tuscany, instead of cypresses, Piedmont adorns itself with the year-round snow-covered mountain ranges Mont Blanc area. Hospitality is still very important here and the cuisine of Piedmont is one of the best in Italy.
