Your journey begins when you drive along the cypress-lined hotel driveway and onto the stately hotel Borgo Scopeto Relais The former aristocratic residence is your stylish home for the next few days. You will get to know the tour participants on the hotel terrace with a magnificent view of Siena. At the sight of the gleaming chrome Mercedes-Benz fleet. You will get goose bumps in the gravel-covered courtyard of Borgo Scopeto. As soon as you turn the ignition key for the first time and drive out your Mercedes-Benz SL classic car, your heart beats faster. You glide confidently over the rolling hills of the world-famous cultural landscape of the Chianti and look at old palaces and castles. After this varied first day of driving, you can review the pictures of the day in the noble ambience of Borgo Scopeto.
The exact route of Italy’s most famous car race is not yet known for 2021, but one thing is certain: Today automotive history will be within your grasp. The legendary “Mille Miglia” with several hundred participating classic cars thunders along the coast in the west of Tuscany to the south. The Mille Miglia convoy stops for lunch in the idyllic coastal town of Castiglione della Pescaia. You will drive with our Mercedes-Benz SL through the Maremma to the coast to Castiglione della Pescaia. It will be a perfect moment for us to meet and greet drivers and see the vehicles up close–and-personal. After this varied and extensive day of driving, you can look forward to the dinner at the terrace of Borgo Scopeto.
This year we’re celebrating a unique event: for the first time, Nostalgic Driving Experiences meets the Mille Miglia convoy twice! Immediately after breakfast you will set off for the Crete Senesi. This impressive stage leads partly on old pilgrimage routes southwest of Siena into the Val d’Orcia. The Mille Miglia participants started in Rome and are expected in Arezzo around noon. Today you have a second opportunity to join the Milla Miglia as well as to be part of the lunch stop in Arezzo! Did you miss the chance to see a racer you’re following or that special car? Today is the day! In the evening, after the event, we will accompany you to one of the most renowned wineries the Castello di Brolio for a tasting followed by dinner to conclude another amazing Mille Miglia day.
On this day we drive winding country roads and lonely mountain roads via Poggibonsi in the direction of San Gimignano . San Gimignano is world famous for its high number of surviving family towers, which are only stumps in other cities, and for its almost unchanged medieval appearance. During a city tour, we stroll through the historic old town, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1990, and see the slender towers that characterize the cityscape. This fact has given the place the nickname "Manhattan of the Middle Ages". After an individual lunch break, we set off for the last stage in the direction of the Citadel of Monteriggioni . There you will say goodbye to "your" Mercedes-Benz SL, we will accompany you back to Florence Airport or to the hotel if you are arriving by car.

Tuscany is one of the most picturesque regions of Italy. It impresses with its unique and diverse landscape. Vineyards mingle with olive trees and alternate with the original bareness of the countryside. This sparseness is broken up by lanes of towering cypress trees. Little-used roads wind their way up hills and run through small sleepy villages. Like a backdrop from a 1950’s Italian film.
With Nostalgic you drive on selected routes in Tuscany. Many of them were also sections of the legendary Mille Miglia race. But Tuscany does not only make the hearts of car enthusiasts beat faster. It also offers lovers of culture cities such as Siena and San Gimignano and places of interest such as the fortress at Monteriggioni. Even in the weeks before the world-famous horse race, the Palio, in Siena, you might be able to watch the teams during their rehearsals and preparations for the big race. They stroll through the city in their period costumes and practice on their drums preparing for the perfect entry to the Piazza del Campo.
Close your eyes and imagine gliding along the dream roads of Tuscany in a classic Mercedes-Benz. You enjoy the wind in your hair, the driving experience, the scenery, good food and the unique wines of Chianti.

The Tuscan cuisine impresses with its simplicity and fresh ingredients. The dishes are down-to-earth, but prepared with great skill and love. The most important part of a Tuscan meal is bread. It is served with the dishes in countless variations - from simple flatbread to Pan di Ramerino, which is flavored with raisins and rosemary. Of course, a good wine should not be missing in this area. The Tuscan wines impress with their extraordinarily full taste. A classic and certainly the most famous wine is the ruby red Chianti. A black rooster on a gold background, the "Gallo Nero", adorns the label of the Chianti wines. A large number of fattories offer interested wine lovers on site the opportunity to convince themselves of the top quality of their wines.
