With the introduction of the Giulia Limousine in June 1962, improvements to even the Giulietta Spider were due. A five-speed transmission and 1570 cc displacement instead of the 1290 cc in the Giulietta secured the open two-seater, already in demand, one sales success after another. The Pininfarina Spider from 1955, as the “Giulietta Spider”, became so deep-rooted in the hearts of its fans that the official name of its younger sister, the “Giulia Spider”, was only established among real afficionados. Striking external features which set it apart are the longitudinal chrome bar on the bonnet, which on the Giulia Spider was replaced by a transverse chrome-plated air intake, the legend “1600” on the boot, and the rims, not with triangular but oval holes. In just one decade, customers could choose from six chassis colours: Red was the favourite, followed by graphite grey (available from 1958), white, black, mid-blue, and light blue. The interiors matched, in black, red, or beige artificial leather. In total, more than 10,000 Giulia Spiders left the Alfa Romeo plant in Portello (Milan), including the 112 h.p. Veloce version.
What better way to live the Alfa Romeo myth than behind the wheel of an Alfa Romeo Giulia Spider from Nostalgic. Experience dreamy Italian settings: Amalfi Coast, the Mille Miglia or Gran Premio Nuvolari in Tuscany, Piedmont or the Lake Maggiore.
