CLASSIC CAR TOUR ON SICILY
The island of Sicily with its capital, Palermo is the remnant of a land bridge that once connected Europe and Africa. It is located southwest off the "toe" of Italy and is the largest island in the Mediterranean. The Strait of Sicily separates the island from the African mainland. Tunisia is only about 160 kilometres away. The Strait of Messina, a narrow strait, which is only about 3 km wide at its narrowest point, separates the island from the Italian mainland.
With Nostalgic you not only drive coastal roads at their best, but also on hairpin bends and mountain passes in the original Sicilian backcountry. Lonely roads wind their way up through parks and partly barren landscapes of Mount Etna. Enjoy the fantastic view of the island and the sea. Enjoy old towns like Taormina, which has a thousand year old tradition, and gastronomic treats that you can only find on Sicily.
You can see from the following climate table which period is recommended for a stay in the region.
